Panties sounds like a naughty word

97. Buy undies with fun designs

Woo hoo! I stopped at Wal-Mart on my way home from work to pick up some new scrub pants (yes, a size larger due to preggo booty) and cheese for burgers tonight. SO, while I was there I snagged some cute undies too! They aren't anything too special, but there's something fun about cute designs and bright colors on your booty that only I know about during the day. (O:

I'm really considering doing laundry just so I can wear a pair tomorrow!

And, while I was at Wal-Mart, I completed another list item as well!

70. Ask a cashier how he/she is doing and listen to the response

I had a very nice lady for a cashier and I asked how she was doing. We had a good chat about how she didn't get off for another 2 1/2 hours and how she is currently living in her ex-hunband's house helping their daughter take care of her newborn baby. She likes to help give the baths, clean the umbilical cord and circumcision. Even though she was sharing a little more information than I might have expected, she was so nice that I just let her keep talking. I wonder how many times a day she gets to tell her stories...

Holla!

Oh yes, I've been working on my list and with Jaime's prodding, I will now write about my progress!

16. Take 10 friend photos each month and print them out (1/34)
I haven't printed them out yet, but I did take a number of great pictures last Friday night when we had some friends over for a potluck. It was us, the Gibson's, Jessca, Brooklynn, Justin and Amy. I have pics of Jax and Brook playing together and watching Backyardigans, and other pics of the rest of the group. So, that's off to a great start! (O: Here are a couple from that fun night:

18. Empty clothes, shoes, and dressers from Emilia/Titus' room
This is still a work in progress, but we are making serious head way! Jason actually took on to my nagging and moved the 2 extra dressers out of the room and put the one that we will use for that room in there. He did that last week. So, Sunday morning before I started feeling like crap-o-laa, we moved all our shoe organizers from Emilia/Titus' room and reorganized all our shoes in the office. There's more room in the office without the big desk, but it just looks like a storage closet it now. Oh well, I'm just happy to be finally moving forward!

27. Try 5 new restaurants (1/5)
Thanks to Jaime and Jon for introducing Jason and I to Pei Wei! It's this wonderfully delicious chinese place in St. Louis. I'm ready for some more Honey Glazed chicken (or something like that!) Whatever it was, it's delicious!! (O:

37. Take one "Us" picture each month (1/34)
This picture is from Jason's cousin Joel's wedding last Saturday. It was a fun night, even though I was DD thanks to the open bar! (O:

57. Load dishes every night after dinner
I actually started getting into the groove of this one before Oct. 20, but we've stuck with it. And when I say we I mean, I have to remind J every night to please put his dishes in the dishwasher instead of the sink. But, it's progress- baby steps. I'm just so proud of myself, it's so wonderful to come home and not have a pile of dishes making faces at me, taunting me. I hate dishes and now I don't have to look at them as much!

I started early! #49

49. When shopping, only purchase what is written on my list

I know I said I wasn't going to "start" my list until Oct. 20, but I went grocery shopping on Friday after work (because it was payday, and I always go grocery shopping on payday). I decided to give this one a whirl...and what an exhilarating feeling! More than once, I had to place an item back on the shelf and remind myself that even though we might be "running low", I hadn't written it down, so I would have to wait to purchase it.

I actually ended up being almost $10 under budget due to my discipline, that was a wonderful bonus! And even though it turns out I really *should* have purchased more sliced cheese, because we were much lower than I thought, it was still a great feeling to only purchase items I had written down. But, I will be making a quit stop to a grocery store before Monday, or Jason's lunch sandwich won't have any cheese! (O:

101 Things to Do in 1001 Days!

What is this exactly?
Here's the information, copied straight from Jaime's blog, which she copied from someone else.

The Mission:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.

The Criteria:

Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part).

Why 1001 Days?

Many people have created lists in the past- frequently simple goals such as New Year's resolutions. They key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organizing and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activitites.

How is this going to work?
Everytime I complete one of my tasks, I will write about it here- explaining what I did, how it went and so on. I will reserve the right to change some things on this list when/if I feel the need. Not because I'm a quitter, but some things might not end up being as important to me over the next 2.75 years and other things might become more important.

When something is italicized, that means I have started working on it
When something is a different color, that means I have finished it!
If it is just regular, that means I haven't started it yet

My official Start Date is going to be October 20, 2008 which means my End Date will be on my birthday, July 18, 2011. I'm posting it early to start gearing up for the next 2.75 years! (O:
